It is so very difficult to find that your dog has reached the end of life. In the past 70 years we have had many. They were always a delight. And their passing always brought my wife and me great sadness.

Hmmm, nice. I like that. Yes, I think you can tell Appie had a good life because of all the pillows. I mean, every picture she is sitting on a pillow or stuffed animal or something really comfy. We do love our doggies! Now it’s Mila’s turn to be completely spoiled! As it should be! Ha!

oh…she’s had a really good life, i can tell. maybe she and pekoe are hanging out right now. they met randomly in a park, when pekoe was telling someone about me, and then appie walked up and was like, “oh, my person lived in portland, too,” and they just hit it off and now they’re sitting in the sun.

Hi ‘Sprina!’ Can’t wait to see you. I’m in the Vienna airport waiting for my plane. 9.5 hours to Wash. DC, another 5.5 hours to Portland. But it will be worth it! Hope the good weather holds. It is still lovely in Vienna. See you when I get home!!
