Horses

I’m training my 2-yr-old filly using, which has been a huge learning experience for me, as well as Dakota! I have ridden and worked with horses since the age of four, but even within this way of working with the horse, there are many variations and differing styles. My primary influences have been Bill Dorrance, Brent Graef, Mark Rashid, and Pat and Linda Parelli. See my Of Interest page to see more links relevant to horses!

Shadow Yoga

I practice a form of yoga called Shadow Yoga, developed and taught by Zhander Remete and Emma Balnaves.

For me, the heart of yoga is in its transformational power to purify the body and mind and, in doing so, to help make me a more transparent instrument for being in the world. Work Life
Writing
Having engaged in my own deep self-inquiry and study of philosophy for over 20 years, I seek, where I can, to apply my work in ethics & human action to socially transformative projects. I am presently at work on a book project that I hope to develop over the next year. More to come after this project is more fully developed.
Teaching
Having earned my Ph. D. in philosophy and religion from Princeton University, I have taught and do teach courses in ethics, philosophy, religion, and yogic studies. I have also tutored students in writing skills for many years while at Columbia and Princeton Universities.
